Anne Lacoste
DJ & PRODUCER
with a flair
for architecture
Growing up in Montreal’s underground nightlife shaped how I intuitively and emotionally experience music. Living in Amsterdam for three years deepened that connection, immersing me in electronic music. My first opportunity to play live in late 2024 confirmed my desire to not only share music, but also create my own. Just a couple weeks later, I began producing, and within my first year, I signed my debut original track to Plaisirs Sonores Records. Alongside music, I am in the process of becoming a licensed architect. After having completed my undergraduate studies in Architectural Science in Toronto, I will be moving to Milan in Fall 2026 to pursue graduate studies.
I come from a musical background, which shaped how I hear, feel, and approach sound. I grew up listening to artists like Moderat, Jamie xx, Radiohead, and James Blake—all thanks to my older brother—who shaped my musical taste, introduced me to electronic music and still influence my productions in some way today. Everything I create is driven by intention. I approach production the same way I build a set: as storytelling. That's why I often start with a melody.
I focus on making refined music, constantly experimenting while remaining true to my sonic identity, and want my sound to reach the right audience and be known by the right people. I also aim to play alongside DJs whose music align with mine.
